Atanasio Girardot Sport Unit – Medellín, Colombia
The event will be held in the ATANASIO GIRARDOT SPORTS UNIT, which is an urban complex that concentrates scenarios such as the Olympic swimming pool, velodrome, skating rink, basketball coliseums, softball and baseball fields, volleyball, table tennis, chess, among others sports. The venue is a short wheel from the host hotel. (900 meters around 11 minutes) The facility will be available to teams on March 07 and 08 for training sessions with the cost included in the event registration fee.

Transportation will be provided between the airport and the host hotel. The hotel is within easy wheeling distance of the competition venue, a major shopping mall, and the transit system. Transportation will not be provided between the hotel and competition venue due to their close proximity.
For individual arrivals, including Officials, Classifiers, IWRF Delegates and others, the hotel does provide a free shuttle service between the airport and the hotel, and has agreed to provide accessible service for individual arrivals as required.

The selection committee consisted of head referee Bob Lopez, America Zone head official
Mitch Carr, Asia-Oceania Zone head official Liam Costello, Kevin Bowie Technical Committee Representative. I would like to thank Chris, Mitch, Liam, and Kevin for their time in the section process.
Various criteria, as listed on the application, were used as the basis for these selections.

Officials & Classifiers: The event will deliver certification upgrade clinics for International Officials and Classifiers. All the Officials and Classifiers will be announced by Technical Committee of WWR.
Doping Control: Please be advised that drug testing will take place at the 2022 WWR American Championship, in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Minister of Sport (MoS), and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) regulations.
Rules: IWRF Rules and Regulations will govern the 2022 WWR American Championship.
